How to Help the Optimize PC Process

Help The optimize PC process

If you have done the optimize PC process, such as defragging the computer and clearing all of your temporary files, you may still be struggling with a slow computer. There will be a few process that you will need to do, such as clearing all of the viruses from your computer and also making some room on your disk space.

You should have antivirus programs on your computer, especially if you are on the Internet. While there are free options, these will not do everything that you need and will need to look at paying for some to get the anti-spyware too. Norton and McAfee are among some of the best programs available. When you have the programs installed on your computer, you should run the checks.

You should also update your software regularly and let it do its own scans each day or week. These automatic scans will allow the software to check your computer even when you do not have the time to do it. The checks will be done in the background and you will be alerted if any viruses are found so that you can make the decision over whether it needs to go.

Next, you should look into to purchasing a registry cleaner. These can be downloaded for free but others could cost you around 30 dollars. You should shop around for the best cleaner and do this about once per month to ensure that all of your registries are operating in the best possible manner.

Now it comes to the parts that you will not need to download programs for but you may need to go out and buy an external hard drive. These small devices are great to be able to store all of your files away from the computer, especially any music and videos. These files can take a lot of space up on your hard drive and will make your computer run exceptionally slow. Move your files onto a hard drive and delete anything that you no longer need. Just because you have 320GB on your computer hard drive, does not mean that you need to use them.

You should also look into deleting the cookies and browser history from your computer. This takes up space and it also a safety precaution. The last thing you want is to find that your computer is stolen and all of your bank details are on it. Of course, deleting your cookies will also mean that your passwords for some sites will be deleted and it could cause log in problems if you have been relying on them.

Some of this can take time but if you are running on a slow computer, the optimize PC process is one of the best things that you can do. It could save you a lot of money having to take the computer to someone else to solve it or to buy a new one.
